How to disable the automatic check for updates at startup.

These steps are useful if the program has a problem first starting.
Try this:

1. Go to your Desktop where the icon for the program is.
2. Right click on it and choose Properties.
3. Click on the Shortcut tab.
4. Find the Target line.
5. Without erasing anything, go to the end of that line.
6. Type a space, then type -NI
7. That's hyphen capital NI
8. It will look like: "C:\Program Files\Map My Family Tree\MMFT.exe" -NI
9. Click OK.
