Charting Companion "hangs" when trying to open my file.

Follow these steps:

1. Completely uninstall Charting Companion.
2. Re start your computer.
3. Make sure you are logged onto your computer as an administrator.
4. Temporarily disable your anti virus.
5. Re install BUT when it asks if you would like to Launch Charting Companion, uncheck it.
6. DO NOT OPEN CHARTING COMPANION YET.
7. Open Devices & Printers and right-click on the Progeny PDF Printer. Note: This may also be the following:
 • CC PDF Printer
 • CCFS PDF Printer
 • GCC PDF Printer
 • MHCC PDF Printer
 • OGFCC PDF Printer
8.If you do not see the Progeny PDF Printer, please contact us:

9. Choose "Printer Properties" (NOT Properties)
10. Select Advanced tab.
11. Check "Spool print documents"
12. Check "Start Printing Immediately"
12. UNCHECK "Enabled Advanced Features"
13. Click OK.
14. Then, right-click on the Charting Companion icon and select "Run as Administrator".

This should do the trick.
