There are people missing from my charts.

The good news is that Charting Companion is unable to alter or change your file in any way.

It’s possible that there are two files on your computer with the same or similar names, and you are opening the wrong file.

First, open your genealogy program and write down the exact name and file path of your current data file.
Then open Charting Companion. Select File, Scan disk for Files and perform a system scan.

This will locate all your family files on your computer. When the scan is finished, click File, Open, have a look at the list and compare the name and location to the one you are using in your genealogy program. Open the file that matches the exact name and location. Your missing persons should appear now.
